About Me
I was born and raised in Texas. I’m a Texas girl and I love it! I am a single mom and have been since my daughter was six. I’ve crafted my entire life. My grandmother was a builder, my dad could fix anything and my mom was a crafter. My memories are flooded with images of creating and building things, like playgrounds for my barbies with my grandmother, or all the times my dad patiently showed me how things worked. I feel very fortunate that as a child I was allowed to take anything apart, sounds strange, but I have always been fascinated by how things worked. BUT, I always had to put it back together, and my dad would always be there if I needed help. His patience in that department was amazing!! So, building and creating things is in my nature. In different ways it’s the legacy of my family.
I’ve always loved buying things and making them my own. Customizing everyday items is how I think I got started crafting decorations. Trying to create and even sell custom crafts goes all the way back to high school for me. I started my Esty shop after my divorce was finalized. Anyone that has gone through a divorce knows how difficult it can be emotionally and financially. I needed to start making more money.
In Texas we’re taught to work hard for what we want so I jumped right in. One simple thing that drove me was my daughter. She’s a fantastic soccer player and has played since she was six. She played on a travel team and that can get expensive. There was no way we were going to have to give that up because mom couldn’t afford it!! It’s odd looking back on what’s inspirited me over the years. My daughter went on to have 4 knee surgeries, and we’ve made it through all of them! My crafts paid for that. Crazy. It never ceases to amaze me. I would have never imagined I would make a good living being able to do what I love.
I am SO grateful to everyone that comes to my shop. I love to make custom items for my customers. I love it when they message me after they receive something I’ve created and tell me they are even better in person. It seems odd talking about myself, in reality, I couldn’t have done it without all of you. You who purchase my creations and strangers who encourage me with simple messages of gratitude. I love seeing the review pictures that show how you’ve used my creations in your décor. Thank you to all of you!! Please keep coming back and sharing my shop with your family and friends. My daughter and I are forever humbled and grateful.
